I've just applied and received my Adult Check ID, but its not working?
Your Adult Check ID becomes active instantly. It takes anywhere from 5 to 30
seconds to process your transaction when you apply. If your transaction is approved you will be given a confirmation
page in addition to a confirmation email being sent to the e-mail address you submitted on your application form.
Remember that the ID is case sensitive so you must use it exactly as we have sent it to you. There are no spaces or
punctuation in the ID.

I received an error when submitting my application.
What does it mean?
If you have applied and received a 'Duplicate Transaction' error you have hit the 'Submit' button more than once.
Your account may have already been created, check your email for a confirmation letter from us with your Adult Check
ID in it. If you did not receive a confirmation letter from us then your account was not created and you may apply again.

Who do I contact regarding a charge on my credit card statement?
The charge you have received on your credit card statement is for the Adult Check System.
The Adult Check System was designed to allow adults convenient centralized access to our
immense network of galleries. If you have any questions regarding this charge
please contact us at 800-561-6114 within the US. International customers please contact
us at support@adultcheck.com. Our Customer Service Department will be happy to assist
you Monday to Friday 6am to 6pm (PST).

What is my Adult Check ID?
If you forgot your password click here.
If you applied after November 3, 2000 you were assigned a randomly generated Adult Check ID.
If you applied between July 1st, 1997 and November 3, 2000 your Adult Check ID is the four digit random
numerical code our server issued you plus the password you submitted to us. The Adult Check ID is case
sensitive and contains no spaces.
If you applied before July 1st, 1997 then your Adult Check ID is the first four numbers of your credit
card followed by the password you entered. There is no space between the first four numbers of your credit
card and the password (eg. 9999yourpassword). Your ID is CASE SENSITIVE, so you must use it exactly as you
have submitted it to us!

Why do I keep getting a Server Error when I try to enter a Participating gallery?
There are a number of server error messages you may run into from time to time on the Internet. The two most common are Error 401s and Error 404s.
Error 401 (Authentication Required):
This error message is typically generated when you try to enter a gallery to which you do not have access. If you receive this error when typing in a URL directly (for example, www.domain.com/members/), please try entering through the login script on the gallery's main outside page. If you continue to have problems, please contact Adult Check's support department and give them URL and the time at which you encountered the problem.
Error 404 (File Not Found)
This error means that the requested web address was not found. This can happen when a gallery changes its URL, is off-line, or has been terminated. If you encounter an Error 404, please contact customer service with the URL and the time at which you encountered a problem.
You may also receive a message that states "You have entered an Invalid Adult Check ID!" If you receive this message, please verify that you are using the correct ID before contacting customer service. Adult Check IDs are case-sensitive ("AdulTchecK" is different from aDUlthCheck") and spaces are not allowed, so the best way to be sure you are using the correct ID is to copy from your Welcome email and paste into the gallery's login field.
If you are using the AOL browser, you may want to upgrade to Netscape or Internet Explorer. AOL Keyword browser will have all the information for downloading and installing Internet Explorer. You can find instructions for Netscape below.
If you are running a version of Netscape prior to 4.0, you can upgrade to the latest version from: http://browser.netscape.com/ Make sure that you run the installation program when you are finished downloading it. This will configure Netscape to your preferences.

How do I use my Adult Check ID?
To navigate the Adult Check system, begin by going to:
http://www.adultcheck.com
If you are already a member, enter your Adult Check ID in the form field near the top of the page and click "Login."
From here, you can search or browse. To search, enter your term(s) in the search box at the top of the page, select "Straight" or "Gay," and click "Search." The Search page will return a list of results sorted into Adult Check Regular and Adult Check Gold galleries. To view any gallery, just click on its name.
To browse, choose "Straight" or "Gay" and look through under the appropriate heading on the front page. You will see a list of category names and a list of new galleries selected from across all categories. Clicking a gallery name will direct you to that gallery. Clicking a category name will take you to a listing of galleries and subcategories for that particular category.
On a category or subcategory page, the names of all the parent and child galleries will be clickable links. Use these links to explore other categories. As with the home page, you can click the name of any gallery to be directed to that gallery's content.
Clicking the "More Regular Galleries" link will direct you to additional listings (if any) of Adult Check Regular galleries. Clicking the "More Gold Galleries" link will direct you to additional listings (if any) of Adult Check Gold galleries.
If you are not already logged in when you click a gallery name, you will have to enter your Adult Check Regular or Adult Check Gold password in a login form.

What is my Username and password?
Our service only requires a single password, you do not need a user name and password to access our script.
You may find areas on galleries that request a User name and Password. These areas are one of two things - Access
via a different service or access to that galleries membership area.

Is my Personal Account Information kept Confidential?
Yes! The information that you submitted to our corporation on your application is kept confidential. Your address and e-mail
address is considered personal information and will not be released, sold or used for any purpose other than verifying
your account when you call or e-mail our company to make changes or request assistance.
If you are receiving e-mail that you did not request from another compamy you can contact the abuse account at that domain.
For example, if the mail came from john@isp.com, forward the message to abuse@isp.com or webmaster@isp.com explaining that
you are contacting them to request removal of your e-mail address from their mailing list.

What are plug-ins and why do I need them? (i.e shockwave, flash)
Plug-ins are software programs that extend the capabilities of your browser in a specific way - giving you, for example,
the ability to play audio samples or view video movies from within Netscape or Internet Explorer.
Webgallery creators are able to create better graphics, and gallery navigation using different software packages. By
downloading the plug-in you will be able to view these items with your browser.
